First things first
Hotel Eindhoven-Best has three different restaurants: a rooftop restaurant, a buffet restaurant and an à la carte restaurant. We’re looking for a chef for our à la carte restaurant. The menu features all-time favourites alongside innovative dishes.
What will you do?
- You are responsible for the mise en place. A good start is half the work;
- You ensure the perfect preparation of our dishes. You make sure every plate looks spot-on, while keeping an eye on timing and consistency;
- You’ll learn both the hot and cold sections of the kitchen. Of course, you’re welcome to develop a preference for one particular section;
- You place, check and receive orders;
- You’ll be involved in successfully developing and running our different restaurants. We work with many fresh ingredients, and you’ll have the opportunity to contribute ideas for new dishes on our menus;
- You help keep the team happy by preparing the staff meal;
- Naturally, keeping your workspace clean and tidy in accordance with HACCP guidelines is also part of your responsibilities.
What do we expect from you?
- You love food and everything that comes with it;
- You have completed a Level 2 culinary qualification or equivalent;
- A good atmosphere in the kitchen is key. It’s all about working hard and laughing just as hard!;
