First things first:
Sky bar and restaurant Izzy at Van der Valk Eindhoven-Best is looking for a host or hostess who knows how to make guests feel truly special. At the top of our hotel, you are, together with your team, the shining welcome for every guest.
What will you do?
- Warmly welcome guests and escort them to their table. First impressions matter;
- Take and process orders using our POS system (Untill);
- Explain the menu and wine selection with knowledge and enthusiasm;
- Set and clear tables with an eye for detail;
- Make sure supplies are always stocked and the bar area looks its best;
- Keep the sky bar clean and tidy where needed;
- Always be there for our guests and proactively respond to their wishes.
What do we expect from you?
- You are available on Fridays and/or Saturdays;
- You are at least 18 years old (due to alcohol legislation);
- You are energetic, hospitable and let your enthusiasm shine;
- You enjoy rolling up your sleeves and love variety in your work;
- You know what true service means and act accordingly;
- You are not looking for a standard job, but for a lively environment where no two days are the same;
- You can't sit still when a good song comes on – every now and then, we even turn up the music and have a little dance together for that extra dose of fun;
- You feel at home in a close-knit team and would rather call your colleagues family;
- Working weekends and public holidays is no problem for you;
- You have an affinity with wine and enjoy advising guests on their choices;
- Izzy is open from Thursday to Sunday. We expect you to be available on at least one of these days.
